From green screen to screen capture, video on the web continues to grow as a way to distribute information.To take advantage of this growth in a quick and easy way on my own sites, Ive wanted to do some quick how-tos that I could upload to YouTube, and wasnt sure of the best way to do it.
In my search, I pretty quickly came upon ScreenFlow, and it solved every problem I had. ![]() If you do choose to record video from a camera as well as the screen capture, your camera image will appear in a box in the corner of the video. You will see a countdown, just like in OS Xs built in Photo Booth application, and then the recording will begin. You can narrate, have music on, or do just about anythign else you can think of. Once youre finished, you can click the ScreenFlow Camera Icon in your Macs menu bar, or you can just hit the keyboard shortcut to stop the recording, which is Command-Shift-2. Once you stop the recording, youre greeted with the editing screen. The level of complexity varies, but if you really want youre videos to look professional, its certainly possible.
